The first step you will take when calculating weight watchers points is to find out how many calories are in one serving by looking at the nutritional information. Once you have that number divide it by 50. This is the first step to calculate weight watcher points.
Ex. If the food has 200 calories per serving you would divide 200/50 and get 4. Save that number. -

The next step to calculate weight watchers points is to find out how much fat is in one serving of the food. You want to divide that number by 12. Ex. If the food you are eating has 6 grams of fat, you will divide that by 12 giving you .5. Add that number to the number in step 1. In this example you will have 4.5 weight watcher points at this point.

The third step to calculate weight watcher points is to find out how much fiber is in the food. Again, look at the label to determine how many fiber grams there are. Take that number and divide it by 5. For example, if the food has 4 grams of fiber, divide 4/5 and you would get .8. Then subtract .8 from the number you got in step 2. Ex. In step 2, we ended with 4.5 points. I will subtract .8 which gives me 3.8. I would round that up to 4.
Note! The maximum fiber level allowed is 4. That means even if a food has 12 grams of fiber, you will count that as 4. -
