The backflip is a move that many gymnist perform. The backflip is a 360 degree rotation from a standing position. This move can also be very dangerous so if your not completly comfortable with it you might need supervision by a teacher.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First start in a standing position. Crotch down like your doing the squat exercise. This is how your body should be positioned on the first step.

  2. Step 2

Jump backwards. While your in mid air tuck your knees in your chest. It's very important to see the flip though and not stop mid ways.

  3. Step 3

Stretch your legs out almost completely when your in mid air. You do this in preparation for the landing. It will take time to learn to time it right.

  4. Step 4

If at all possible take lessons from a qualified gymnist. They have saftey harness to help you learn the proper way to perform the back flip. Practice the half back flip before you attempt to do the full flip.
