How to Make a Kissing Ball Wedding Decoration
Kissing balls have long been a tradition at weddings. They are great substitutes for bouquets and make wonderful pew and chair decorations. Making them out of silk flowers is cheaper than purchasing them from your florist.

- Hot Glue Gun
- Glue Sticks
- Silk Flowers
- Ribbon
- Styrofoam Ball (2 or 3 inches)

Remove the silk flowers from their stems using the scissors. This gives them a nice back to add glue to.

Glue the flowers onto the ball. Use the hot glue gun and apply glue to the back of the flower. Place the flower into position on the ball and hold for a few second.

Continue applying flowers around the kissing ball until you have achieved the look you desire. Usually, the flowers are placed close together and densely cover the ball. Leave a small area for the ribbon.

Cut a piece of ribbon to the length you desire. Glue the two ends to the ball about an inch apart. This creates a loop at the top that you can use to hang the kissing ball. The length of the ribbon will depend on how you choose to use it. Short loops are great for kissing balls that will be carried by individuals in the wedding party. Longer loops are necessary for kissing balls that will be used as pew decorations.

Finish by covering the exposed area of the ball and the ends of the ribbon with flowers. Let the whole thing dry before using.
