How to Save Money on Diapers
Diapers cost the average family more than $2000 a year. And that's if they only have one child wearing disposable diapers. But, let's face it - unless you're going to use cloth baby diapers there's no way around spending big bucks on disposables. The easiest way to save money on diapers is to use a less expensive brand. But cheap diapers can leak and may not be as absorbent leading to diaper rash and blowouts. There is a way, though, to save money on diapers without the mess. Here's how.

Buy a smaller box, in the same size, but in a major brand such as Huggies diapers or Pampers. (You can buy a large box if your child is just moving into that size and will wear that size baby diaper for at least 3 months!) Huggies or Pampers can cost you as much as 20 cents per diaper depending on where you buy them, and if you use a coupon.

At night, or whenever your baby will long periods without a diaper change, put them in one of the Pampers or Huggies diapers. There's less of a chance they'll leak or get an irritated bottom from these higher quality diapers. This way you'll use fewer of the name brand diapers and be able to save as much as $50 a month on diapers!
Tips & Warnings
Don't buy too many of the more expensive diapers or you could get stuck having extra diapers when your child moves into the next size.
