Being a good neighbor will keep your reputation up in your community. You want your neighbors to like you and be happy living in the same area as you. Here are some tips on how to be a good neighbor.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

When you first move into a new community, introduce yourself to your neighbors. Try to do this during the day or when you see them outside of their home so that you do not interrupt anything that they are doing. This will show your neighbors that you are friendly and want to get to know them.

  2. Step 2

Be respectful of your neighbors. Keep the noise down at night so that you do not wake up your neighbors if they are close to you. If your neighbors have a baby then make sure to keep it down at night because your neighbors will not be happy if you wake up their baby.

  3. Step 3

Offer to help if you see that your neighbors could use a hand. If you see your neighbors trying to carry a lot of things into their home, offer to give them a hand. This shows that you are a caring person and your neighbor will appreciate it.

  4. Step 4

The most important part of being a good neighbor is to be respectful. Understand that you live close to someone and need to give them their privacy and comfort. People want to be comfortable in their own home and the last thing they want is an unruly neighbor who parties all night.
