How to Regain Classroom Control
Teachers need management strategies for regaining classroom control in order to keep the pace and flow of a lesson. The trick is to deal with discipline problems on a class level rather than confronting individual students.
Instructions

1
Announce to the entire class: "I'm stopping the lesson because there are some students who are not letting me teach."
-
2
Wait a few moments to see if the students settle down. Evaluate if the classroom situation is now calm enough for you to teach.
-
-
3
Maintain strong body and eye contact with the student(s). This sends a powerful message that you cannot proceed unless they improve their behavior.
-
4
Resume teaching only when students have completely adjusted their negative behavior.

Tips & Warnings
Decide upon the behaviors that will force you to stop a lesson. In severe cases, you may need to take the student(s) aside or out in the hall in order to avoid a confrontation. No matter how badly students behave, never resort to yelling. Engage students thoughtfully and give them your trust to avoid having to regain classroom control.
