Instructions

    • 1

Measure the amount of ribbon needed by wrapping the ribbon around the widest length of the package four times. Cut the ribbon off at this point.

    • 2

Find the center point of the length of ribbon and place a small mark here.

    • 3

Place the ribbon on the package with the center point at the middle of the top of the package. Hold the ribbon in this position and turn the package over to the other side so the the ribbon is under the package.

    • 4

Pull the ends of the ribbon up the sides of the box and cross the ends of ribbon. The two ends of ribbon should be leading out toward the sides of the package that have not been wrapped with ribbon yet.

    • 5

Keep the ribbon from shifting or moving and turn the package over again so that the top of the package is facing up.

    • 6

Tie a double knot in the center of the package with the ribbon. Tie the knot with the crossed ribbon under the knot incorporated into the knot so that the ribbon is secured to the center of the package.

    • 7

Pretend that you are tying your shoe laces and tie a bow in the center of the package. Be sure you tie the bow tightly so that it does not come undone.

    • 8

Trim off excess lengths of ribbon and then make a decorative cut on the ends of the ribbons. You can either make neat notches in the end or simply cut the ends at an angle.
