Many cat lovers are rejecting commercially prepared foods in favor of homemade cat food. Your good, fresh ingredients provide a healthier diet at a much lower cost for your best friend. This quick, cheap and easy recipe should be served at room temperature.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh chicken livers
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup cooked carrots
  • 1/2 cup cooked broccoli
  • Chicken liver broth
  • Blender
  1. Step 1

Spoon the rice, carrots and broccoli into the blender and puree them.

  2. Step 2

Cover the chicken livers with water in a small saucepan. Bring the pan to a boil, then turn the heat down and simmer the livers until they're done.

  3. Step 3

Remove the pan from the heat. Add the chicken livers to the blender, and reserve the broth. Chop the mixture.

  4. Step 4

Add 2 tbsp. of the reserved chicken liver broth to the mixture. Blend well. If the cat food holds together nicely, you're done. If it isn't sticky enough, add more broth by tablespoonfuls, blending after each addition. Call the kitty to dinner.

  5. Step 5

Refrigerate any excess for up to 3 days.

on 11/20/2009 I'm going to give this a shot. I look at what I feed my cat, and it is revolting. This may not sound palatable to me, but it has got to be better for the cat.
