1
Purchase some blank t-shirt transfer sheets for your custom designs. You can find these at an office supply store and sometimes at a discount retailer such as Target. Typically these come in packs of 10 to 20 sheets that are 8 1/2 by 11 inches.
-
2
Purchase an inkjet printer if you do not already have one. Any inkjet printer will do, but you will get better results from the inkjet printers classified as photo printers. You will use this to print your designs onto a transfer sheet.

3
Get your designs onto your computer. You can put anything on the t-shirt transfer paper. You can do just text in a program like Microsoft Word and Notepad or you can do designs in programs like Adobe Photoshop and Paint. Just remember to not do anything larger than your transfer sheet.
-
4
Reverse your design once you have completed it. This will typically be listed as "mirror image" on your printer options or in your design software. You have to mirror flip your design so that it will show up properly when it gets transferred to a t-shirt.
-
5
Print your design for your custom t-shirt transfers onto a blank transfer sheet. Put one transfer sheet into the load tray of your inkjet printer. Once printed, be sure to let it dry before trying to put it on the actual t-shirt.
