Large livestock and animal fences are usually constructed of high tensile electric wires, ridged sheet metal and concrete fence posts. Once you move a herd or have different plans for the area the fence encompasses, you will need to tear down the fence and remove the concrete fence posts. Removing concrete fence posts can easily be done with the help of a friend.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fence post digger
  1. Step 1

Dig a hole right next to the concrete fence post that has the exact same diameter as the concrete fence post. Dig the hole as deep as the concrete fence post was buried.

  2. Step 2

Pull the top of the post over into the next hole and free the post from the packed dirt.

  3. Step 3

Squat down on opposite sides of the post with your friend. Put your right shoulder into one side of the post and have your friend put his right shoulder into the opposite side of the post. Wrap your arms around the post.

  4. Step 4

Stand up while holding the post firmly. Drag the post out of the hole.
