How to Make a Body Mask

Buy ingredients from a whole foods store. Some of the components of the body mask may be hard to find in regular grocery stores.

Combine 1/2 cup of powdered clay, 1/4 cup of powdered kelp and 1/4 cup of Aloe vera gel. Add 1 tsp. of sea salt to 1/4 cup of water and shake well. Stir the salt water into the rest of the mixture.

Once the solution becomes a thick and muddy paste, spread over the body. Let set for 15 minutes or until the mud mask hardens.

Shower off making sure all of the body mask has completely rinsed away. Use warm water rather than hot which can be overly drying.

Pat the body dry being careful not to rub the skin. Immediately smooth a rich cream, such as cocoa butter, over the body to restore moisture.

Tips & Warnings
Make an exfoliating body scrub with leftover kelp powder. Just add a few drops of water. Use this body mask as a spot treatment for certain areas that are suffering from breakouts, such as the back.
This body mask can be drying as it draws out deep impurities and oils. Be sure to use a body cream after rinsing off this mud mask.
