How to Remove Golf Shoe Cleats
Golf shoes are an expensive accessory, and buying a new pair every season or every six months when your cleats should be replaced can be a drain on the wallet. That money is better spent on greens fees, or lessons. Replacing golf cleats can be a challenge, though, as they don't always cooperate.

The first step is to clamp the shoes into a vise, sole up. Insert a piece of wood into the shoe and then clamp the shoe into a mounted vise. This should secure the shoe so you can use the proper tool to remove the cleat.

2
Make sure the shoe is secure. Clean out all the dirt from the cleat. Then apply a few drops of Mystery Oil or liquid release to the cleat area. Wait about an hour for the oil to seep into the cleat screw. It will help to loosen and make removing the cleat easier.

Place your cleat removal tool into the holes on the cleat. Apply pressure down onto the sole of the shoe and twist the tool using short motions. This will jar the cleat screw and eventually release it from the mount. Use your free hand to grip the shoe and provide extra support as you twist.

Continue until the golf cleat is removed from the shoe, and repeat the process on each cleat.

Tips & Warnings
Use the right tools for each kind of golf cleat. If your cleat brand does not provide a tool, a matching one will have to do.
