Polymer clay is a versatile modeling material that can be used for many arts and crafts projects. It is particularly popular for bead-making, but it is also used for other jewelry applications, figurines and more. Baking the clay takes very little time. Bear in mind that polymer clay bakes very hard so you need to make any holes for beads and other jewelry pieces before baking.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Baking dish
  • Aluminum foil
  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F. Check the packaging of the polymer clay to verify this temperature, because it may vary by product.

  2. Step 2

Line a glass or metal baking dish with aluminum foil. This keeps the beads from baking onto the dish.

  3. Step 3

Lay the beads or figures in the lined baking dish. Don't let the pieces touch one another.

  4. Step 4

Bake the clay for 10 to 15 minutes. If you have a very large project, it may need to bake longer.

  5. Step 5

Remove the clay from the oven when hard and let cool.
