Put together goodie bags. Assemble goodie bags in decorative bags, small Chinese take out boxes or small brown paper bags. Purchase green and purple take out boxes and allow party guests to decorate them with markers, glitter and stickers. Decorate small brown paper bags with a drawing of Barney and the guest's name. Include items like Barney noisemakers, Barney coloring books and crayons, Barney pens and pencils, Barney books, Barney stickers, Barney tattoos, and purple and green yo-yos. Tie the bags shut with purple and green curling ribbon.

Bake cookies. Purchase a dinosaur cookie cutter and prepare sugar cookies. Frost and decorate the cookies, and place them into decorative bags. Tie with purple and green curling ribbon. Prepare cookies in advance and encourage guests to decorate cookies during the party. Provide frosting, sprinkles and small candies.

Design Barney placemats. Prepare them ahead of time or include this in the party's activities. Use purple and green poster board to create Barney placemats. Write each guest's name and the year to remember the celebration. Allow guests to draw, decorate and color on the placemat. Laminate with clear contact paper so guests can take them home and use them.

Decorate canvas tote bags. Provide dinosaur and letter stencils so guests can easily trace designs. Write each guest's name on the bag. Provide markers, paints and craft supplies to decorate the tote bags. Surprise each guest with a small item, like a Barney coloring book, to put in their tote bags to take home.
