How to Make Scented Candle Warmers

Instructions

    • 1

Melt the paraffin wax and beeswax together in a double boiler. Mix the wax thoroughly with a wooden spoon. Bring to 170 degrees F.

    • 2

Add the scent and stir gently. Add color at this time, as well.

    • 3

Pour the hot wax very carefully into your jars or pots. If you are making tarts with tart molds or mini muffin tins, this recipe will yield 24 tarts.

    • 4

Leave everything to cool. Allow jars to cool overnight. Leave tarts for a couple of hours, then place in the freezer for a few minutes before popping them out of the mold.

    • 5

Place the jar on your hot plate and turn the plate on. Or, place tarts on the tray above the candle warmer. Either way, enjoy the scent.

Tips & Warnings

  • This recipe calls for 2 oz. scent, which should scent a small room. If you want a less intense fragrance, use 1.5 or 1 oz. candle scent.

  • Not all glass will withstand the heat of a candle warmer. Use canning jars or ceramic.
