Hosting your Mother's Day Brunch is a perfect gift to give your Mother for Mother's Day. Invite siblings, family and also her closest friends. Prepare your menu weeks in advance.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Notebook for creative thinking
  • Menu
  • Flowers
  • China
  • Tablecloths
  • Brunch RSVPs
  1. Step 1

Get family and friends involved. To have a low-cost, budget-friendly Mother's Day Brunch, don't be afraid to ask siblings to help with the cost of the brunch. Discuss the extra financial amounts needed, to make this brunch low cost for everyone.

  2. Step 2

Start in advance to prepare for your Mother's Day Brunch. Know who you are going to invite. Keep the guests below twenty for a budget-friendly brunch.

  3. Step 3

Prepare the invitations and RSVPs at least a month in advance. You want to give at least two full weeks for guests to have enough time to put the RSVPs back in the mail. Remember to get your stamps ahead of time, so when you are ready to mail the invitations out, you will have everything you need.

  4. Step 4

Have each guest bring a small card, telling your mother what she means to them. This can be simple, or more elaborate, such as a well thought-out speech. This is a perfect time to have guests bring up memories that they've had with your mother.

  5. Step 5

Check your china to make sure you have enough for all the guests at the brunch. If you must, borrow from siblings. For the complete table setting, bring out the nicest tablecloths.

  6. Step 6

Plan the brunch for mid-morning---after breakfast but before lunch---around 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. This will help you keep the menu to a minimum, which will keep this budget-friendly.

  7. Step 7

Plan the menu after your list is organized, and once you have an approximate idea of how many guests will be coming. For the menu, add fruits that are in season. This keeps the brunch budget-friendly.

  8. Step 8

Check your local grocery store or fresh market for the best deals of food. After you have a better idea of how to save the most money, start on the brunch menu. The menus needs to be simple and low cost. Some low cost snacks include: sausage balls, a fruit platter, a vegetable platter, a cheese ball, fondue and a selection of cheeses.

  9. Step 9

Remember that memories are a great way to show your Mother how loved she is. Add special touches to the brunch by placing pictures all around the house---of your Mother, family and friends. Make these photos heartfelt and they are sure to bring a tear or two to your Mother and the guests.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to invite all close family members. Don't be afraid to ask for help from family and friends. Ask siblings to help with the food cost.
  • Have a child hand flowers to your mother and let them give the gift of love through flowers. This is a great way to start off the brunch.
