Things You'll Need:
- Sealer release agent (found at home supply stores)
- Sponge or applicator
- Plastic scouring pads
-
Step 1
Clean the area and wipe it dry. Apply the release agent (see Resources) full strength to a small area of tile using a sponge or applicator. One tile at a time is more manageable than several.
-
Step 2
Wipe release agent from grout joints to prevent it from removing necessary grout.
-
Step 3
Allow the release agent to stand for up to 15 minutes for heavy grout deposits. For minimal grout on ceramic tile, a few minutes will be sufficient.
-
Step 4
Scrub the area thoroughly with a plastic or nylon scouring pad or sponge. Rub until the epoxy has been loosened.
-
Step 5
Rinse the epoxy and release agent with clear water. Repeat if necessary.
