How to Make a Fleece Throw
A fleece throw is as versatile as it is warm. Sling a fleece throw over the back of a couch for TV viewing, or tote your fleece throw to a winter football game to keep warm. Fleece throws are the perfect kind of blanket to use for pets, and babies love them because fleece is so soft. This kind of fleece thrown blanket is very simple to make, and requires no sewing. Children can help you create the knots, which make this blanket come together in under an hour.

1
Cut two pieces of fleece. The fleece pieces need to be as large as you would like your fleece throw to be, plus 6 inches on each side. A good starting measurement is 3.6 feet by 6.6 feet. You can make it longer or shorter, depending on your needs. Both pieces of fleece should be the same size.
-
2
Cut 6-inch strips into the fleece around the edges, spaced about every 1 inch. Do this all the way around both pieces of your fleece throw blanket. You will end up with two pieces of fleece that look like they have thick fringe.

3
Place the two fleece pieces on top of each other, lining them up so that the backs are both facing inside and the fronts/designs are both facing outside. Start in any corner, and take the first top strip and the first bottom strip in your hand. Tie the two strips together in one knot. You can tie a second knot if you like the look better, but one knot will hold everything perfectly.

4
Repeat Step 3 on the second fabric strips from the top and bottom pieces of fleece. You will continue in this fashion until you have tied all the fleece pieces together, all the way around the fleece throw blanket. Once you have ties the last piece, your fleece throw is complete.

Tips & Warnings
Create a lighter variation of this fleece throw by using only one piece of fleece and tying each strip to the strip next to it.
