Step 1
Place your golf balls inside the silverware basket of your dishwasher. Set the dishwasher for a normal cleaning cycle, include the detergent and turn it on. The heat from the dishwasher won't damage the golf balls and will remove most of the dirt from the golf balls.
-
Step 2
Fill a bucket with hot water and a 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Throw the golf balls into the hot water and allow them to soak for a few hours. This will loosen even the toughest dirt. Rinse the golf balls under warm water. If there are stubborn stains from algae or mud, pour vinegar on a rag and scrub the golf balls. Make sure to rinse thoroughly to remove the vinegar.
-
Step 3
Fill the bucket with warm water and throw in three denture cleaning tablets. These tablets will bubble and foam to remove stains from the dirty golf balls. Make sure to rinse the balls thoroughly after using this method.
-
Step 4
Place the golf balls into a net lingerie bag and toss it into the clothes washer. Set the machine for a regular cycle, including detergent. The balls will come out clean.
-
Step 5
Tackle the dirt on the filthiest golf balls by mixing a small amount of bleach and dishwasher detergent (preferably powdered) in the bucket. Use the toothbrush to scrub off the most stubborn stains.
-
Step 6
Remove permanent marker tick marks from golf balls using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Make sure to use these smooth pads when the golf ball is dry.
