How to Make Soap Confetti

Confetti soap makes a decorative addition to your bathroom sink or a thoughtful gift, especially if you make it yourself. It takes just a few minutes, making it a good craft project to do with children. Using it is fun and keeps you from having to use a bar of soap that gets dirty as it is used and reused. Just spoon out a few flakes into your hands and lather up.

Things You'll Need

• Soap flakes
• Food coloring
• Tray or cutting board
• Jar

Instructions

1. Place soap flakes into a bowl. Soap flakes can be bought from a craft store. You can also use a grater to make your own soap flakes from a bar of hard white soap.

2. Put a few drops of food coloring into a bowl with the soap flakes.

3. Stir the food coloring and soap with a fork until all of the flakes are coated with color.

4. Spread the flakes out on a tray or cutting board to let the dye dry.

5. Put the colored soap flakes in a jar or container. Combine colors or layer them if desired.
