Make Pecan Pancake Syrup

If you've just made a fresh batch of pancakes or waffles, and realized you are out of pancake syrup, don't despair. If you have brown sugar, you can combine the sugar with water and simmer until it thickens and then add a little vanilla, to make delicious syrup. But, if you would like something a bit more special, try this homemade pecan syrup recipe. Instead of the vanilla, you can also use a couple tablespoons of maple syrup.
