One of the easiest wedding favors that you can make for guests are these simple rosebuds made out of Hershey's Kisses. The process will be much faster if you have additional hands helping you, especially if you need a large number. The best time to make these is when Valentine's Day or Christmas candy is being sold. Those are the times when you can find bags of Kisses wrapped in red foil, but most bags will have a combination of red and silver, gold or green. Save the other Kisses for another occasion and just use the red ones to make the roses. You can also use silver foil Kisses and wrap the exterior with red tinted plastic wrap.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Per rose:
  • Scissors
  • Red plastic wrap or red foil (such as Saran Wrap)
  • 2 Hershey's Kisses (wrapped in red foil if available)
  • Glue
  • Florist's green tape (found in floral in most craft stores)
  • 8" length of floral (florist's) wire
  • Fake rose leaves (optional) (available at craft stores in the floral department)
  1. Step 1

Cut a 4-by-4-inch square of plastic wrap or foil for each rose you will make.

  2. Step 2

Glue the wide bottoms of the two Kisses together and let dry.

  3. Step 3

Wrap the plastic wrap or foil around the Kisses. Gather the excess wrap near the pointed end of one of the Kisses. This will be the bottom of the flower.

  4. Step 4

Insert the florist's wire through the bottom of the "flower" and into the pointed end of the Kiss.

  5. Step 5

Wrap the florist's tape around both the floral wire and the excess plastic wrap to both hide and secure the extra wrap.

  6. Step 6

Use the florist's tape to attach the wire ends of each of the rose leaves by wrapping the tape around the wire base of the leaf and the wire that made the stem.

  7. Step 7

Wrap the entire length of the wire with one last layer of green florist's tape to cover the wire completely.
