Instructions

    • 1

Cut out your robot's body parts out of construction paper. "He" will need a head, which can be square or round, a body, which should be a large rectangle, and arms and legs, which should also be rectangular. The body should be the largest piece of the robot. The arms and legs can be as long or as short as you like. You can make your robot all one color or use a variety of construction paper colors.

    • 2

Assemble your robot. The head will go at the top of the body (one of the short ends of the rectangle). The legs will go on the bottom two corners of the rectangle, and the arms can go anywhere on the upper half of the rectangle, one on each side. Attach the body parts by holding a body part so that it overlaps the body, then push the metal brad through both pieces of paper before bending the metal arms outward to hold the brad in place.

    • 3

Glue on your robot's google eyes. Use a dot of glue on the back of each eye and place it on the robot. Remember, robots do not have to have eyes where humans do. Their eyes can be wherever you want them to be.

    • 4

Decorate your robot with markers. You can draw designs on your robot's body with magic markers. Now, you are ready to play.

Tips & Warnings

  • To make the paper robot sturdier, cut the body parts out of posterboard or cardboard.
