If you previously had the MSN search toolbar installed on your computer, but lost it due to accidental deletion or a system restore, don't worry. Reinstalling the MSN toolbar is a fairly easy process, especially if you were the one who installed it the first time.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the official MSN Toolbar web page (see Resources).

  2. Step 2

Click on the big yellow "Download" button near the top of the page. A new window will pop up asking whether you want to save an .exe file.

  3. Step 3

Click "Save" on the popup window. The .exe file will automatically be saved to your desktop.

  4. Step 4

Double-click the new file on your desktop to start installing the MSN Toolbar. You will need to be connected to the Internet during this process if you are planning to link your toolbar to your live account.

  5. Step 5

Restart your computer. Once it has booted back up, you will see the toolbar when you open your Internet browser.

Tips & Warnings
  • After you install the MSN Toolbar, you can customize the MSN "channels" at the top. These channels can display the news, special features or even the weather in your zip code.
