How to Restore Deleted WMV Files
Restoring deleted Window Media Video files (WMV) is possible and more attainable when automatic deletion schedules are not set. On the contrary, when deleting files from a computer is done manually, control is maintained by keeping these files in a holding bin until the final decision is made to delete them from a computer. Manual deletion enables the user to easily identify specific files for restoration after an initial deletion attempt. Follow these easy steps to restore WMV and other files to your computer and regain instant access.

Tips & Warnings
Multiple WMV files can be restored at the same time. To do this, while in the Recycle Bin, hold down the "Shift" key while simultaneously pressing either the "Up Arrow" or "Down Arrow" key in order to highlight the files you would like to restore. Right-click to bring up the pull-down menu. Next, click "Restore."
After completing the actions in the steps above to restore the desired WMV file, always check the location of where the file should be restored to verify that your actions were successful. If more than one file has been restored, simply check the Recycle Bin to make sure the files are no longer set for deletion. Next, instead of checking many multiple file locations, try just checking one or two newly restored WMV files in order to verify that your actions for complete restoration have been successful. These few simple steps should prevent any accidental semi-permanent deletions after the computer has been turned off.
