Step 1
Supplement your pet dog's diet. To do this, you must first know which foods to avoid. Foods such as onions, corn, grapes and chocolate are dangerous to a dog's health and should never be given as a treat or supplement. Dogs are carnivorous animals and require larger amounts of protein in their diets. Giving your dog raw chicken, beef or pork can improve their digestion and the quality of their health. For more information on dog nutrition, see the resource section at the bottom of this page.

Step 2
Supplement your pet cat's diet. Cats also need a lot of protein, and their overall health can improve greatly when a cat's diet is supplemented with organ meats, raw eggs and bone marrow. You can add raw eggs to your cat's regular food or serve them as they are. Organ meats and bones should be fed to your cat raw as bones can become difficult to digest for cats if they are cooked. For more information on cat nutrition, see the resource section at the bottom of this page.

Step 3
Supplement your pet bird's diet. Supplementation of your bird will depend on the type of bird you have. Tropical birds such as parrots and lories can be supplemented with fresh fruits. Bananas and apples can help improve the bird's health and fullness of its feathers. Fresh fruit can calm any skin irritation that your bird may have. Seed-eating birds such as parakeets and canaries can be supplemented with raw seeds and the occasional fresh fruit. For more information on bird nutrition, see the resource section at the bottom of this page.

Step 4
Supplement your pet snake's diet. Snakes can eat their food completely whole. Therefore, supplementing your pet snake with whole rodents can improve its skin and help its digestion and shedding ability. You can purchase whole rodents from any pet store. It may have a special container of mice or rats specifically used for snake feed. For more information on snake nutrition, see the resource section at the bottom of this page.
