How to Make Grilled Hamburgers

Grilling is not only a healthy form of cooking, but it also produces a hamburger that is full of flavor. With the help of a few seasonings, you can easily turn a regular backyard hamburger into a juicy meal that will rival any burger from a restaurant menu. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Large mixing bowl
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp. steak seasoning
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

      Mix the ground beef and turkey together in a large mixing bowl. Season the meat lightly with salt and pepper.

      Add Worcestershire sauce, steak seasoning and chopped green onions to the meat mixture.

      Let flavors marinate together in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

      Create uniform patties by shaping the meat with your hands. Hamburger patties that are the same size will cook in the same length of time.

      Lay patties on the hot grill at least 2 inches a part from one another. Allow patties to cook for 3 to 5 minutes on each side.

Tips & Warnings

  • Using a mixture of ground turkey and beef will produce a leaner hamburger.

  • Avoid grilling a hamburger made of entirely ground turkey. Ground turkey is very lean and will easily dry out and fall apart.
