How to Remove a Dishwasher That Is Wired Into a Circuit

Removing a dishwasher from an electrical circuit is a simple process and can be done easily when following the proper steps.
However, be sure to adhere to all safety warnings before starting any work on the electrical system.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Turn off the main electricity to the house.

  2. Step 2

    Unscrew the circuit breaker panel covering.

  3. Step 3

    Locate the circuit that the dishwasher is on and unscrew the wires from the set screws that are in the circuit breaker. You can leave the circuit breaker in the panel in the "off" position to be used for future circuits.

  4. Step 4

    Pull the wire out of the breaker box and out of the wall to remove it.

  5. Step 5

    Screw the circuit breaker panel covering back on and restore the electricity.

Tips & Warnings
  • Turn off the main power before starting.
