How to Create Web Page Visio Projects
Microsoft Visio is an excellent software application for illustrating processes, diagrams and systems and turning Visio projects into web pages for sharing that information. In addition, creating a web page from a Visio project provides a user with the ability to add functionality to make the document significantly more dynamic than a simple printed version. This tutorial explains the basic steps required to create a web version of an existing Visio project.

Image 1: Open the Visio project
Open the Microsoft Visio project to be converted as in Image 1.

Image 2: Locate the "Save As Web Page" function
Click "File" and click "Save As Web Page" as in Image 2.

Image 3: Select the location for the converted Visio project
Select the location to save the Visio Project web page as in Image 3.

Image 4: Modify the title
Click the Change Title button to name the document in a way that makes it suitable for the web as in Image 4.

Image 5: The Publish button provides access to additional features
Click the Publish button as in Image 5. This brings up the configuration screen enabling the user to publish desired features.

Image 6: Select specific features for use with the web based Visio project
Click the features that correspond with the functionality needs of the project. The tutorial project has three pages so the options selected are "Details," "Go to Page," "Search Page," and "Pan and Zoom" identified in Image 6.

Image 7: Click "OK " to ouput the file
Click "OK at the bottom of the dialog box to finish saving the Visio project as a web page as in Image 7.
