Airsoft refers to a type of gun and ammunition as well as a game. The guns propel small diameter plastic BB's by means of spring, gas or electric power. The game is played by shooting others with the small BB's while attempting to capture a flag or other objective. Many of the scenarios are military based and lend themselves to tactics and accessories such as grenades. Making an airsoft grenade is fairly simple as well as effective.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Party-sized balloon
  • Airsoft BB's
  • Water
  • Speed loader
  1. Step 1

Pour 50 to 75 of the airsoft BB's into the uninflated balloon. Using a speed loader will greatly speed the process.

  2. Step 2

Push the BB's to the bottom of the balloon; adjust the number of BB's depending on the size of the balloon.

  3. Step 3

Add a quarter to a third cup of water to the uninflated balloon.

  4. Step 4

Blow air into the balloon and inflate to approximately the size of a clenched fist.

  5. Step 5

Tie the balloon shut with a simple overhand knot to seal the air, water and airsoft BB's.

  6. Step 6

Throw the balloon against a hard object such as a wall or tree to cause the balloon to burst. This will cause the airsoft bb's to scatter, imitating the shrapnel of a grenade.

Tips & Warnings
  • Cheaper quality balloons typically make the best airsoft grenades as the balloons easily burst.
  • Use caution by wearing eye protection anytime airsoft BB's may be propelled with force.
