Making paper folders is a great craft for kids, especially preschoolers. They can have school folders like the "big kids" without you having to spend a lot of money, plus decorating their folders will keep them busy for a little while.
All you need is some 11 x 17-inch paper, some regular-sized paper, scissors, glue and whatever decorations you want (i.e., markers, stickers, glitter, etc.).

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 11 x 17-inch paper
  • Regular-sized paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue/glue sticks
  • Decorations (optional)
  1. Step 1

Fold a piece of the 11 x 17-inch paper in half sideways (finished size is 11 x 8.5 inches).

  2. Step 2

Cut a piece of regular-sized paper in half sideways (finished size is 8.5 x 5.5 inches).

  3. Step 3

Open up the folded piece of paper. Run a thin line of glue (or use glue sticks) across the bottom edge and a little ways up both sides of one half.

  4. Step 4

Place one of the cut pieces of regular paper on the glue. Repeat this process for the other side so you have two pockets.

  5. Step 5

Allow the glue to dry before folding your folder again, then add any decorations you like.
