How to Make a Paper Folder

Making paper folders is a great craft for kids, especially preschoolers. They can have school folders like the "big kids" without you having to spend a lot of money, plus decorating their folders will keep them busy for a little while.
All you need is some 11 x 17-inch paper, some regular-sized paper, scissors, glue and whatever decorations you want (i.e., markers, stickers, glitter, etc.).

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• 11 x 17-inch paper
• Regular-sized paper
• Scissors
• Glue/glue sticks
• Decorations (optional)

1. Fold a piece of the 11 x 17-inch paper in half sideways (finished size is 11 x 8.5 inches).

2. Cut a piece of regular-sized paper in half sideways (finished size is 8.5 x 5.5 inches).

3. Open up the folded piece of paper. Run a thin line of glue (or use glue sticks) across the bottom edge and a little ways up both sides of one half.

4. Place one of the cut pieces of regular paper on the glue. Repeat this process for the other side so you have two pockets.

   Allow the glue to dry before folding your folder again, then add any decorations you like.
