Throwing playing cards like weapons will entertain children and some adults for hours. They are flexible, so damage to property will not occur. When you throw playing cards, knocking items over or getting hurt is unlikely as well. The only issue one may have is the mess this will cause. You can play this type of game at parties, in the back yard or on sleepovers. Using two decks of cards will give each member of the game ample amount of cards to throw. If more than five or six are playing, you may use three or more decks of playing cards.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Hold the playing card with the number side facing down. For brand new cards, you can use either side. However, for used cards shuffling creates a lift on the backside. This will allow the card to go farther as well as faster.

  2. Step 2

Grab the side of the card with your thumb and index finger. The card should be completely level between your fingers.

  3. Step 3

Pull your hand back to your shoulder blade. Twist your wrist. Your fingers turn towards the ceiling. The card will slightly lift up at an angle. Instead of the card being level, it will be at an angle with your shoulder.

  4. Step 4

Swing your hand out away from your body quickly. Snap your wrist. Let go of the card when your arm is at a 45-degree angle.

Tips & Warnings
  • There are several ways to hold the playing card before you throw it. Experiment with the most comfortable and accurate method. Practice throwing the cards to become a more accurate shot.
  • Excessive card throwing can make your shoulder muscle sore. Take frequent breaks.
