Instructions

1. Remove a foot-lock plug by unscrewing the plug by turning it counterclockwise. You will know if you have this type of plug if the following is how you plug your drain:
   You seal and unseal the drain by pushing with your foot onto the drain plug.

2. Remove a roller-ball-type plug by unscrewing the plug by turning counter-clockwise. You have this type of plug if the following is how you plug your drain:
   You either push or pull on the drain knob to change the seal.

3. Remove a lift-and-turn drain by first looking for the set screw on the underside of the plug. Unscrew this set screw and remove the plug. You will know if your drain is this type if you follow this procedure for plugging your drain:
   You rotate the drain plug to seal or unseal.

4. Remove pop-up drains by using your pliers to hold the stem underneath the cap and unscrew the cap to remove the plug. Your drain is this type if you follow this procedure for plugging your drain:
   You have a trip lever that controls the plug.
