Make a jester hat.

Put a little fun in someone's life with a jester hat made from paper. The hat is cheap and easy to make, and can be constructed to fit any size head. Simply adjust the length of the hatband and the amount of overlap of the paper triangles.

Things You'll Need:

    Make paper triangles.

Cut five 8½-inch squares of copy paper. Fold each piece diagonally to create five triangles.

  3. Step 3

Overlap the triangles by slipping one folded piece inside the other. Adjust overlapped pieces as needed to go around the inside of the hatband. Glue in place.

  4. Step 4

Bring the inner triangles together to the center. You may have to crumple the pieces slightly. Glue to hold. Place a decoration over the glue spot.

  5. Step 5

Cut a 3-to-5-inch slice down the center of each triangle, beginning at the point. Fold points over at irregular angles. Glue a bead, pompon or jingle bell to each point.
