Things You'll Need:
- Scrapers, power washer sand blaster or masonry stripper.
-
Step 1
Power washing a surface with a zero rotating tip will some times take all your paint right off the brick, stone, or concrete with little effort. This may not work with a home power washer. Use a commercial grade power washer with a psi of at least 4,000. I can not express enough caution, these zero rotating tips will cut through just about everything, so be sure to have it pointed at the stone or concrete at all times.
-
Step 2
Masonry strippers are an option. If you use this option protect your self with goggles gloves and a body suit. All strippers work the same pretty much. Spray on a coat with a spritz bottle, wait 20 minutes and spray on another coat. Scrape and scrub your surface to remove boiled paint.
-
Step 3
Sand Blasting is your only other resort. You can rent a sand blaster at Home Depot or Lowe's. I recommend trying the fist two steps first. Chances are If the first two steps don't work for you this will. But sandblasting is limited. I would not recommend this for an inside project.
