Obtain Your Free Credit Report

It is good practice to obtain your credit report once a year to make sure everything is current and there are no mistakes.

Instructions

Step 1

First, go to the following website: https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp
Step 2

You will now be at the home page of Annual Credit Report. You will see a section called "Start here and view your Credit report now". Go ahead and enter you State and press the "Request Report" button.
Step 3

Next you will need to fill in all of your information. NOTE: This site is 100% secure, so there is no need to worry.
Step 4

After you complete the required form(s), check the boxes of the reports you want to receive. You have a choice between the following: TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax. You will need to do each one separately so make sure you have about 20 minutes to work with.
Step 5

Now all you need to do is follow the direction on the screen to obtain your free credit report(s). This site works by letting you view and print your credit report once a year for free. You are not able to save or download your report, so print it up once you complete the information section.
