Make Texas Style slow cooked chili recipe

The original Chili or first chili that we know of was made in Texas in the 1700's With the colonists of course the recipes change a lot through times it was said that the first variations were made of Mexican spices, chopped buffalo, and wild peppers that grow in the area. They are called 'Chiliquitas' which, means 'little chiles' or 'small peppers.' And with times and how they change the variations also have to accompany the way our eating has changed, But with this knowledge we do find that Texas is the starting point of a stew that millions of pounds are consumed every year in the Midwestern United States. Imagine that!!
