In order to save energy you can either cut the amount of power you use, by the light source, reduce the usage of the lights or both.

Instructions
  1. Step 1
     

    Installing motion of sensor can be very beneficial in places that you may not notice if the power left on, as basement, garage, closet, attic etc.

  2. Step 2
     

    Use natural lighting.

  3. Step 3
     

    Keep blinds open to let daylight in.

  4. Step 4
     

    Focus light where you need it. For example, requires more than the living room or kitchen.

  5. Step 5
     

    As often as possible, dust the light fixtures, lampshades and bulbs as it can prevent up to 60 percent of the light. Dimmer controls can attain the same results of overhead lighting.

  6. Step 6
     

    Use one higher wattage bulb instead of several.

  7. Step 7
     

    Get a habit of turning the light off when you are leaving the room and not using it.

  8. Step 8
     

    Turn off the Air Condition once the room has the temperature you desire.

  9. Step 9
     

    Set up a photocell.

  10. Step 10
     

    Photocell turn a light on or off in response to natural light levels.
