Is it: How to Make Chocolate Soy Milk?

Actually it's both!

Make yourself a hot chocolate which is made of chocolate soy milk . . .

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Your Favorite Mug
  • Chocolate Soy Milk
  1. Step 1

Soy milk is a healthy and delicious alternative to cow' s milk. In spite of what the name may lead you to believe, soy milk is actually dairy free. It also is gluten, lactose, and cholesterol free. For those who have dietary concerns, soy milk can eliminate the negative for you but also enhance your dietary regimen with vitamins and minerals such as calcium, vitamin D and potassium, and increase your intake of antioxidants, fiber, and protein. There are several national brands of soy milk such as Silk, 8th Continent, and Vitasoy, and many local grocery chains carry their own brands as well. Soy milk can be enjoyed in many of the same ways as traditional cow's milk and has become a popular alternative.

  2. Step 2

Pour chocolate soy milk into your favorite mug. Microwave for approximately 2 minutes or to desired temperature. Use caution when removing mug from microwave because the mug and it's contents can be very hot.

  3. Step 3

Consume your beverage plain, or enhance the taste with special flavors such as:

    *Whipped Cream
    *Peppermint
    *Cinnamon

Enjoy Your Hot Chocolate Soy Milk!

Tips & Warnings
  • Soy Milk is located in the refrigerated section of grocery stores alongside other dairy-type products. In addition, check the store directory for the location of shelf stable packages of soy milk.
  • Be adventurous! Try chocolate almond milk or chocolate rice milk for another healthy, delicious alternative to cow's milk.
  • Have a taste-testing party with your family and friends to determine your favorite brands. Experiment with different varieties of chocolate soy milk. The flavor should be always be rich and the consistency smooth - cold or hot!
  • Do not allow soy milk to overheat in the microwave. A skin will form on the soy milk if it is overheated, just as it will with overheated cow' s milk.
