Things You'll Need:
- Assorted Beads
- Stretch Magic Cord or Power Cord
-
Step 1
BUY SOME BEADS AT YOUR LOCAL CRAFT STORE OR ONLINE. The large craft stores like Michaels, Joann Fabrics and A.C. Moore carry a wide variety of beads. Some are of good quality and some are lower end. If you want really high quality beads, you should buy online at Fire Mountain Gems, Shipwreck Beads or a similar site. I like to use high quality czech glass beads 8 mm faceted (pictured here) with decorative glass beads as accents or you can use gemstone beads.
-
Step 2
BUY SOME STRETCH CORD. Buy clear Stretch Magic Cord or Power Cord .8mm which is available at the craft stores or at Fire Mountain Gems, etc. This is a nice quality stretch cord which will last a long time and is easy to work with.
-
Step 3
CUT A LENGTH OF CORD TO FIT YOUR WRIST WITH ABOUT 4 EXTRA INCHES.
-
Step 4
STRING BEADS IN A PLEASING DESIGN. Choose colors which coordinate well and string in a repeating pattern or in a random design. If you want to separate each bead, you can use a small seed bead or other small bead in between each bead.
-
Step 5
WHEN THE LENGTH OF THE BRACELET IS THE RIGHT SIZE, TIE A SMALL KNOT IN THE STRETCH MAGIC CORD. Then cut the cord with a little bit of cord hanging next to the knot. Hide the cord inside a bead with a large enough hole.
