Things You'll Need:
- A lemon
- Honey from local wildflowers
- Water
- Fork
- Medium sauce pan
- Slated spoon
-
Step 1
Squeezing lemon juiceSqueeze the juice of one lemon into a pan.
For one serving it is easy to cut the lemon in half and use a fork by twisting it into the lemon to squeeze the juice out. If you would like to use more than one lemon, an electric squeezer may be more convenient. -
Step 2
Removing lemon seedsRemove lemon seeds with a slated spoon.
-
Step 3
Adding local honeyAdd local honey so it covers the bottom of the pan--about one half the amount of lemon juice.
After you make the lemonade once, you’ll be able to decide better how much honey you like. -
Step 4
Stirring local honey and lemon juiceHeat the honey and lemon juice on low heat until the honey becomes liquid. Stir constantly.
-
Step 5
Adding waterAdd one cup of water. Keep stirring until the mixture is warm.
-
Step 6
Pouring local honey lemonade down a wooden spoonPour into a mug.
Sometimes pouring down a wooden spoon makes pouring from a pan neater without dribbling.
You can drink the lemonade warm. It will be strong.
You can add ice or water according to taste.

on 4/19/2009 An excellent recipe ! I'm glad you mentioned warming the honey on low heat as high tends to lower it's effectiveness. Good work !
