Have a question you need answered while you are out and about? Ask ChaCha and get answers to all of your questions from weather to traffic reports or just that weird trivia question you want the answer to! ChaCha answers are sent to you by live people who use special search engine training to find you the best possible answers to your questions.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Cell Phone
  • Text messaging capabilities
  1. Step 1

To Text ChaCha you need to send your message to 242-242.

  2. Step 2

Limit your text to a single question per text. The friendly live Guide at the other end of your question will not be happy if you say "What's the weather tomorrow in Boston? And when was the last time the Giants won the World Series?" Keep it to one topic per text, please!

  3. Step 3

Be specific and add locations if necessary. ChaCha doesn't know where you are so saying "I'm lost, how do I get to the Dunkin Donuts on Main?" isn't going to do you much good. Your ChaCha Guide needs to know where you are AND where you want to go! Same goes with weather. If you'd like your daily horoscope, include your birthday! ChaCha Guides aren't mind readers after all!

  4. Step 4

Wait for your response! On average, ChaCha Guides try to get back to you within three minutes but if you send a particularly hard question, be patient and expect your answer to take a bit longer.

  5. Step 5

If you would like to stop receiving messages from ChaCha, simply text STOP.

Tips & Warnings
  • ChaCha is free to use but if you have to pay for text messages on your cell phone service, you will see those charges show up on your bill.
  • Part of ChaCha being free is that the service is not unlimited. The limits change constantly but ChaCha will notify you when you have reached your limit for the time period.
