Things You'll Need:

  • Lemon Essential Oil
  1. Step 1

Use lemon essential oil to spot clean everything from household surfaces to skin. Use 1–2 drops to remove gum, oil, grease spots, glue or adhesive, and crayon on most surfaces. Or for a surface sanitizer, combine 2–3 drops with filtered or distilled water in a spray bottle; spray and wipe.

  2. Step 2

Add a drop to your dishwasher before the wash cycle for spot-free dishes.

  3. Step 3

Diffuse as an air deodorizer and freshener. Or add 5 drops of lemon oil and 2 drops of peppermint essential oil to 1 cup of filtered or distilled water in a spray bottle; shake and spray.

  4. Step 4

Add 10–15 drops to a gallon of carpet cleaning solution to help remove stains, brighten carpet and rugs, and give the room a fresh smell.

  5. Step 5

Add lemon essential oil to foods like vinaigrettes and sorbets for additional flavor. Substitute lemon oil for lemon juice or lemon seasonings to flavor seafood, vegetables, beverages, and desserts.

  6. Step 6

Place a drop on oily skin or blemishes to help balance oil glands and minimize oil production. Lemon removes excess sebum and oils from the skin, making it wonderful for unclogging pores.

  7. Step 7

Soothe or prevent corns, callous, or bunions by rubbing oil on affected area, morning and evening.

  8. Step 8

Fill a bowl with cold water, add 2–3 drops of lemon oil, and drench fruit in water to preserve shelf life.

  9. Step 9

Massage lemon oil into cellulite to help improve circulation and help eliminate waste from the cells.

Tips & Warnings
