Step 1
Understand that the acai berry is readily available in supplement form in grocery stores and health food stores alike. Even most major grocery store chains have acai berry juice or supplements. My point is it is not necessary to buy acai berry over the internet and give out your credit card number to fly by night companies.

Step 2
Beware of the pretty blond model. You know the one. She has blond curly hair and glasses and appears to be posting on her personal blog. There are several different companies that claim to sell the best in acai berry products, and yet these "different" companies all use the same German model. The model herself has claimed not to know anything about thee websites and the pictures used are quite cleverly photo shopped. If you see a picture of this model, who goes by many different names, depending on the website, stay away.

Step 3
If you must buy your acai berry online, first check the Better Business Bureau for any complaints against the company. This is one of the best ways to avoid the acai berry scam. Also, read the fine print! Pay particular attention to such phrases as "recurrent billing". This is one of the biggest red flags of an acai berry scam.

Step 4
Of course, the best way to avoid an acai berry scam is to use some common sense. Any company that claims their product will help you lose 25lbs in 2 weeks, or any other preposterous claim, should send up major red flags. We all would like to believe that there is a product out there that will help us shed pounds and inches painlessly. However, the truth of the matter is that the best way to lose weight continues to be to eat less and move more. Don't be a victim of an acai berry scam.
