Things You'll Need:
- A White T-Shirt
- Accessories of your choice
- A mirror
- Style
-
Step 1
Decide if you prefer the crew neck version or v-neck version of the white t-shirt. This is mostly personal preference but the crew neck is more of a classic uptown look while the v-neck is viewed as an edgier downtown look.
-
Step 2
Choose the correct t-shirt. Look closely at the cut, shape, and material. Make sure your t-shirt flatters your upper body as much as possible. For example if you are large chested choose a t-shirt with a v-neck (cut) and if possible one that helps define the waist (this will help create an hour glass shape) in a medium weight material like cotton.
-
Step 3
Remember that basics are the hardest things to shop for and that you may need to look around before you find a shirt that really flatters your figure.
-
Step 4
Accessories are the most important step because they will make that simple white t-shirt into a statement about the person that wears it.
Add:
-A scarf is probably the easiest and chicest way to add style to a white t-shirt.
-Chunky jewelry like big necklaces and bracelets will dress up the t-shirt.
-Try adding a hat. These are big this spring and it should be simple to find one that speaks to your style.
-Add a jacket or vest. -
Step 5
And remember to change it up. If you always wear ballet flats with skinny jeans try switching to a wide leg jean or a riding boot. Just using different accessories and basics will make the t-shirt look fresh and new.
