Instructions

  1. Make and Use Bath Oil

    • 1

Blend the almond oil, castor oil, vitamin E oil, sunflower oil and fragrance oil together in a glass container with a tight-fitting lid.

    • 2

Shake the container once every day for a week. This helps to blend the fragrances.

    • 3

Add the chopped dried flowers to the container.

    • 4

Make your bath as hot as you can stand it. Pour in about 1/4 cup of bath oil, lay back and relax.

    Make and Use Body Scrub

    • 5

Grate the soap bar into a glass bowl.

    • 6

Mix the Epsom salt, lavender oil and olive oil in a second bowl.

    • 7

Add the food coloring, if using, to the salt and oil mixture.

    • 8

Mix the grated soap into the salt mixture. Pour the scrub mixture into a container with a lid.

    • 9

Scoop out a spoonful of bath scrub at a time. Rub in a circular motion over rough spots on your skin to cleanse and exfoliate.

Tips & Warnings

  • Homemade bath oils do not contain preservatives, so they can become rancid over time if kept too long.

  • Containers with metal lids tend to rust once exposed to moisture.
