Step 1
Think about your life both good and bad. Don't dwell on what happened to you or the mistakes that you have made. Realize that life is not easy and there is no self help book that can make things go smoothly.

Regardless of the past hurt, find forgiveness in your heart. We have to know that just like we make mistakes others make them too. They are not perfect and there is always a reason why people are they way they are. Accept that you have been wronged but in spite of love them. Forgive them. Make yourself happy because revenge only makes you more miserable and continuously talking about is sparks old feelings of hate, irratation,confusion, etc...

Know that just because you are down for the moment does not mean that you are out for the count. Look ahead to the future. Think about ways to make you life better and stop complaining about why your life is so hard. All things happen for a reason and what does not make you crack will and can be used to strengthen you.
