How to Recover a Flash Drive

Flash drives are a convenient and portable way to carry your important files and documents. There are times, however, when the data on the flash drive may become corrupt or accidentally deleted.       Download the latest release of BadCopy Pro from the JufSoft website. Double-click on the "badcopy-setup.exe" file.

      Close any running programs you have open at the time. Click the "Next" button on the Welcome pop-up box.

      Click the "Yes" button on the License Agreement pop-up box. Choose the "Next" button on the Choose Destination Location pop-up box.

      Choose the "Next" button on the Start Installation page. Click "Finish" on the Installation Complete pop-up box.

      Click on the Windows "Start" button. Choose "All Programs" menu.

      Choose the "BadCopy Pro" shortcut from the BadCopy Pro folder.

      Choose "Flash Drive and Zip Disk" from the left side of the BadCopy Pro pop-up window under Recovery Source.

      Click on the drop-down arrow and select your Removable Drive letter under the All Available Drive list.

      Click on the drop-down arrow and choose either "Rescue Corrupted Files" or "Rescue Lost Files" from the Recovery Mode section. Choose the "Next" button.

      Click the "OK" button after you read the Note for Lost File Rescue dialog box.

      Click the "Start" button on the next pop-up box.

      Choose the "File Type" tab from the scan options pop-up box. Click on the radio button "Retrieve Only Selected File Types."

      Select the files you want to recover by placing a check mark in the corresponding box or unchecking those you don't.

      Click "OK" to begin the recovery process. Click "Next" to save the recovered files to different drive location. You can also preview the files to know if they are worth recovering.
