Times are tying these days but there is no need to skip on having an up to date wardrobe to show your distinct style.

  • a short shopping trip
  • a little time to go through your wardrobe
  1. Step 1

    When you are looking to update or change your style without spending a lot or any money look to your own closet.
    Take a few hours of one day and go through your closets and your drawers.
    first step is to organize and evaluate what you already have.
    sometimes you may have shirts and ties that you may not have seen in years that are still in fashion or that you can work into today's styles.

  2. Step 2

    We recommend that you empty all of your drawers and look at what you have, and what is time to send to good will or your favorite charity.
    when going through your drawers put everything on your bed in piles.
    line up your shirts that you wear for dress then line up your shirts you wear for play.
    look at the colors are they still in fashion, are the colors faded.
    then move to your closet and do the same line up your jackets, pants, ties, etc and carefully look at each piece do your articles of clothing still fit you and fit today's style.
    styles come and go so make sure you like the clothing pieces and can you work them into what works for your style.

  3. Step 3

    After you have assessed what pieces you have look at them again before you replace them back into your closets and drawers. How will you wear the clothing pieces. If they still work for you then add them back to your closets and drawers.
    line up all your shirts if you can by color this will make it easier to put together complete outfits. do the same with your jackets, pants, ties.
    keep like season clothes together and then keep year round clothes together.

  • Always keep basic items if they still fit.
  • A good black shirt
  • A nice button down white dress shirt
  • A good jacket that can be worn with dress pants or dockers or jeans
  • At least five different colored shirts for casual wear
  • Do the same with your shoes, line them up and see what still works and can fit your style.
  • If you find you want to update your look- look to adding pieces that will work for many different outfits, a nice shirt you can wear with jeans, or under a casual jacket.
  • there are many sales to be had now pick one or two key pieces that are timeless and add them to your wardrobe
  • The keys to style are casual dress wear
  • Daywear, casual gym or work out clothes
  • Work or office clothing
  • Dress clothing
  • you can never go wrong with primary colors in blues, browns, black, tans keep
  • neutral.
