Virgin Mobile is on of providers that offer prepaid phones with a monthly and pay as you go plans. If you decided to go for a virgin mobile phone the following steps can help you to choose the cheapest offer.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

GET A FREE PHONE - Virgin Mobile is offering some free phones on their website. When you buy a free phone, you will save money. Also, you can assess the kind of service the company is offering and how its plans work for you, incase you change your mind or you want to look for another provider, you will not feel sorry about the phone.

  2. Step 2

CHOOSE PAY AS YOU GO PLAN - Virgin Mobile pay as you go plan gives you two options, you can pay per minutes as you go, each minute costs 20 cents, with this option you are required to add $20 every 90 days even if you have money in your balance. The other option is to purchase bundle of minutes.

  3. Step 3

MAKE AN ANNUAL TOP UP - Annual top up is $90, when you are on pay as you go plan with 20 cents option and you add $90 to your balance, that will preserve your service for one year and no need to top up $20 every 90 days.

  4. Step 4

PURCHASE MINUTES BUNDLES - If you are using you phone a lot, pay as you go 20 cents/min is not the good option, instead, purchase the minutes bundles, the much minutes you purchase the cheapest price you get. There are three minutes bundles, by $20 you get 200 minutes, each minute costs 10 cents. By $30 you get 400 minutes, each minute costs less than 8 cents. By $50 you get 1000 minutes, each minute costs just 5 cents.

  5. Step 5

ROLL OVER YOUR MINUTES - Do not loose your minutes and make sure to roll them over to the next month. When you are on pay as you go and you purchased bundle of minutes, you need to add money and purchase another bundle of minutes with in 30 days, in order for your minutes to roll over. Make a plan to add money every 28 days instead of every 30 days.

  6. Step 6

BE A WARE OF THE HIDING FEES - know your plan and see what it includes.
